Anne Rankin, a retired catering manager, warmly welcomes you on your arrival at Monday Cottage.

Here you will enjoy her special breakfasts along with delicious oatmeal porridge and the traditional Scottish breakfast.

Anne offers a weekend special breakfast of smoked Salmon and scrambled eggs. The vegetarian breakfast includes poached eggs on a cheese scone accompanied with glazed apples and sautéed mushrooms. Warm oven scones, home made jams and marmalade a specialty.

Balloch is the “Southern Gateway” to Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.

Monday Cottage is situated in a quiet residential part of the village, which is an ideal starting point for various places of interest. Anne has a good knowledge about the many places of interest nearby.

Stirling Castle is 40 minutes by car and Lake of Menteith which is Scotlands only lake – is only 25 minutes away. These two attractive sites can be incorporated into one trip.

Loch Lomond Shores is an attractive shopping mall in the banks of the Loch and is 5 minutes by car or 20 minutes on foot.

The city of Glasgow is 50 minutes by train from Balloch Station.

The Hill House, designed by Charles Rennie MacIntosh, is situated in Helensburgh 15 minutes by car.
